In addition to his work in private banking, supporting the common good was a matter of great importance to Karl Reichmuth, so he and a friend, together with private bank Reichmuth & Co, provided the funding to establish the Rütli Foundation.
Returns for charity (Rendite für Gemeinnützigkeit®) was created as an additional innovative solution that uses a usufruct to allocate the income from part of the assets to a charitable purpose, without (yet) transferring the assets themselves.
Since its establishment in 2000, the Rütli Foundation’s total volume of donations has reached CHF 100 million.
The Rütli Foundation is celebrating its 25th anniversary. It currently supports more than 180 projects every year. Since its inception, its total volume of donations has reached CHF 152 million.
