Returns for charity®

This approach is suitable for individuals who wish to dedicate the income from a portion of their assets to a charitable cause but do not (yet) want to transfer the assets themselves. In this way, that portion of the assets is made available for charitable purposes for a limited period.

You enter into a fixed-term usufruct agreement with the Rütli Foundation in respect of your assets. The assets remain your property, while the income generated benefits the chosen charitable cause in accordance with the agreement.

The usufruct agreement is concluded for a minimum period of three years. Upon termination of the agreement, the so-called usufruct capital, up to the nominal amount originally contributed, reverts to your private assets.

Advantages

  • The assets are made available to the Rütli Foundation subject to a right of usufruct for a limited period, meaning they can be reclaimed. This solution is suitable for sustainable projects involving recurring contributions.
  • Income generated from the usufruct is allocated to your chosen charitable purposes in accordance with the contractual agreement.
  • Donations may be made either discreetly and anonymously or in your own name.
  • Both the assets transferred to the Rütli Foundation for usufruct and the income generated from them are tax exempt.
  • The Rütli Foundation submits an annual report to the relevant foundation supervisory authority.

We will be happy to advise you in a personal consultation.
